PwC Legal advises the shareholders of AMICRA Microtechnologies on sale to ASM Technology Singapore

PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) and PricewaterhouseCoopers GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfergesellschaft (PwC) has provided the shareholders of AMICRA Microtechnologies GmbH with comprehensive legal advice on the sale of all shares and the acquisition by ASM Technology Singapore Pte Ltd in the course of a bidding process.

AMICRA Microtechnologies GmbH was founded in 2001. Its shareholders are, amongst others, the founding partners Rudolf Kaiser and Horst Lapsien as well as the investors VRD GmbH, Mittelstand Co-Investment Portfolio GmbH & Co. KG, and the co-investors AMI GmbH & Co. KG, Dr Bruno Acklin, S-Refit AG, S-Refit EFRE Fonds Bayern GmbH and the KfW.

The Regensburg-based company is the global market leader in the development and production of high-precision automatic assembly machines for the industrial production of microelectronic components. With its approximately 120 employees, the company recently generated worldwide sales of approximately €24 million.

ASM Technology Singapore Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of ASM Pacific Technology Limited, which is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Due to the acquisition of AMICRA Microtechnologies GmbH the ASM Group intends to strengthen its product portfolio in the field of high-precision die bonding and its presence in the future market of Silicon Photonics.
