PwC Legal advises Flip UG (haftungsbeschränkt) on seed financing round of EUR 3.6 million

Nuremberg, 19th February 2020.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal AG Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft (PwC Legal) has provided comprehensive legal advice to Flip UG (haftungsbeschränkt) on the execution of a EUR 3.6 million seed financing round led by LEA Partners and Cavalry Ventures. Further investors participating in this round are Plug and Play Ventures and the business angels Jürgen Hambrecht (chairman of the supervisory board of BASF), Prof. Dr. Kurt Lauk (chairman of the supervisory board of Magna International), Florian Buzin (Founder of Starface) and Andreas Burike (HR business angel). The collected capital will be invested in the expansion of the team, the development of new markets and for product development.

Flip UG (haftungsbeschränkt) was founded in 2008 by Benedikt Ilg and Giacomo Kenner. The startup based in Stuttgart enables a simple, secure and GDPR-compliant corporate communication with its employee’s application “Flip”. Flip is already successfully used by customers like Porsche AG, Wüstenrot & Württembergische, Edeka, Bauhaus and Young IG Metall.

LEA Partners is an entrepreneurial-minded multi-stage private equity firm investing in growth technology companies that are driving transformative change in their industries.

Cavalry Ventures is a venture fund based in Berlin comprised and built upon many years of experience of its partners aiming to support the best technology companies.
